This past Saturday, November 15th, I participated in a holiday sale at a local art gallery where I volunteer. I had a 6 foot table stocked with 82 pieces of my art ranging from photography to digital art to abstract painting and collages including work I did on some 6 inch ceramic flooring tiles I purchased at a recycled building supply store here in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
With a little over an hour left to the sale I had sold 5 pieces which had me feeling pretty good. Then a young man walked up to the table and started looking through the tiles with an energy and a big smile about his face saying, "Wow, I love these! I want to buy them all!" I thanked him and said that they were what I do to relax when I'm bored. He said that I should be bored more often. I laughed.
He had been putting some aside as he looked through the basket. I thought he would then select one from those before he left. He instead bought all seven that he had put aside saying, "I want to buy all of these. Is that OK?" I told him yes, of course. He introduced himself as Brad as he shook my hand and then paid for them at the gallery check out and left.
A little later the gallery manager asked if I knew who he was. I said no and she continued that he was Brad Jones of the Green Bay Packers. So, not only did someone buy a bunch of my art but he's a professional football player. Made my day, week, year. I'm still on a bit of a high because of it.

Random ART of Kindness
Recent events and Scott Wong's Flood the Streets with Art effort https://www.facebook.com/events/1669399546608169/ have inspired me to come up with a plan to offset the random acts of terror we have recently been experiencing here at home and around the world.
Beginning on December 14th, I will again leave a free piece of art on the streets somewhere. Then I'll leave one every day until and including Christmas Day. Twelve days of Christmas. Then, if another random act of violence takes place, I'll leave another piece on the street on that day or the next depending on the time of day it happens.
I'll include any random act of violence anywh

South American Cruise
In the middle part of February I flew over 7,500 miles from my home in Green Bay, WI to the "end of the world" Ushuaia, Argentina. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ushuaia Once there, I boarded a cruise ship. The Golden Princess, and sailed to Punta Arenas, Chile then onto the Amalia Glacier and then to Puerto Montt, Chile and then Valparaiso. From there the ship turned around and we took the same route in reverse leaving the ship once in Ushuaia.
I had joined my brother in Atlanta. My brother, a singer and musician was an entertainer on the ship during the two weeks we were aboard. I was able to share his cabin for a greatly discounted rate. So
